We practice an integrated approach to financial advice, and a big part of that is assessing your current financial situation, listening to your life goals and, together, making a plan for you to reach them. Every client we meet with is unique, so we use the initial consultation as a comprehensive opportunity to explore your needs and lay out our services and fees for you in detail. That way, you can make the best possible decisions—with our help.
That initial consultation also gives us both a chance to see what it would be like to work together on a continuing basis. It’s important to us that we can support you with an appropriate level of service so that our relationship—and more importantly, your experience working with us—will be utterly successful.
An initial meeting typically lasts an hour, during which time we:
- Identify your financial management issues
- Propose a format for addressing them
- Create a timeline for addressing these issues
- Answer any questions you have
In addition to your completed Client Information Overview, is it helpful, but not necessary, to bring relevant financial documents with you to the meeting. For example:
- Prior year tax returns (federal and state)
- Account statements
- Employee benefit statement(s)
- Recent paystub(s)
- Insurance coverage descriptions
If you have any other questions before your initial consultation, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
